Good Drinking Habits For Better Health

Maintaining your weight and being healthy daily you need to consider what type of beverages you are drinking. They do have a major impact on how we feel and also calorie consumption. Some beverages are can cause us to gain weight even if we are eating correctly. We have listed some drinks that will benefit you and some that will destroy your diet.

We all have heard how important it is to consume water. There are many important reasons but we will discuss two of them. Water feels your stomach up so you eat and snack less. Drinking water regularly keeps us hydrated and feeling energetic through the day. This makes you feel tired and sluggish all day long. I certainly don't want to feel that way.

What about drinking juice? Most store bought juice has a lot of sugar that we don't need. We don't need to consume extra sugar because fruit naturally has sugar in them. It is actually much better to eat the fruit to get the juice.

Are we allowed to have soft drinks? This depends on how many extra calories you want to consume. 150 calories is the average amount for a soft drink. We also have to think about the extra sugar, carbonated water, and also the amount of caffeine in these drinks. Diet drinks can be calorie free but still have chemical additives in them. Drink as little as possible of these to maintain your proper weight.

I have heard many say an alcoholic drink a day is alright. It has been said a cocktail, little wine, or beer daily is good for you. The problem is that they contain sugar just like soft drinks do. I would also be very strict on any alcohol consumption.

Drinking tea has been said to have many benefits but I would make sure to watch the caffeine intake. Coffee is the same here. Another factor to consider is what you add to coffee or tea. Be careful how much cream and sugar you add to your coffee or tea as this can increase you calorie count fast.

I hope these suggestions will help you to drink for your health. As you can see drinking play a huge role in our daily nutrition and over all health.
